Marion Jones was sentenced to six months in prison today for lying to federal officials about using performance-enhancing drugs as well as something about some kind of check fraud scandal or some such thing. Her attorney had asked the judge to give her probation and not any jail time, saying that her fall from America's sweetheart to national disgrace was punishment enough. To which I say, that is not punishment, that's called CONSEQUENCES.
